I am trying to install the universal forwarder on a windows 2008 R1 server. since there is potentially other splunkd services running I have to use a scripted process that unzips a pre-installed copy to a folder, pokes the registry and then I need to do a
splunk clone-prep-clear-config to clear the cloning.
When I do this I get an error indicating that the version of Splunk is not compatible with the versions of windows?
I think this is a x64 and that is what I am using,.
Is there a compatibility issue with 6.6.2 and Windows 2008 r1
