My Python scripted input does not run and I receive "setting reschedule_ms=3599998, for command=python" message - how to fix?

I'm having an issue with a Python scripted input. Up until the past week, this scripted input (as a Splunk object) plus the actual Python script worked fine. I made a couple changes, and now I'm always getting the log message in the title: "setting reschedule_ms=3599998, for command=python $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/app/bin/abc.py" The scripted input itself never actually runs anymore. That log message just happens at the correct time set in the CRON schedule. I tried researching this and haven't come across many posts that actually mention the log message, and I can't seem to find any references to it in the docs. Can somebody help?
