Per the documentation, I placed a number of KML files in `$SPLUNK_HOME/etc/shcluster/apps/leaflet_maps_app/appserver/static/visualizations/leaflet_maps/contrib/kml` on my search head cluster deployer and pushed out the new files. I confirmed the KML files exist on all the SHC members' `$SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/leaflet_maps_app/appserver/static/visualizations/leaflet_maps/contrib/kml`.
However, the visualization is not using the KML and we're getting the following error in the `apifilesave.log`:
2017-03-22 09:29:36,307 INFO pid=65391 path=/opt/splunk/lib/python2.7/site-packages/splunk/appserver/mrsparkle/lib/error.py:file=error.py:handleError:138 | Masking the original 404 message: 'The path '/en-US/static/app/leaflet_maps_app/visualizations/leaflet_maps/contrib/kml/North_Central_Region.kml' was not found.' with 'Page not found!' for security reasons
